Waves Forever is owned by Yuichi Imai.

I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and grew up idolizing

Southern California's image of surfers, Chevy trucks and rock and roll.

I also have the utmost respect for Hawaiian surfers,

and am very interested in Hawaiian culture too.

I am an avid surfer and work out fanatic!

I met a beautiful California lady in Japan,

when she was traveling through Asia.

I fell in love with her at once and

we came to San Diego and got married (Yes!).

Then, I started this surf shop.

(But, I am single now...Oops...)

I have a passion for the ocean and am involved in efforts

to keep our oceans clean.

Because, my wish is to ride the "Waves Forever".
