"Bamboo"
Fins

by Marlin Bacon
101 Fin Company is looking to natural resources for it's fins.
It's "Bamboo".
Bamboo fins
are naturally light. Up to 65% lighter than rtm honeycomb fins,
without sacrificing
performance. 101
Fin Company
exploit the unidirectional
nature of wood to give
the fin strengthand stiffness at the base, while
allowing the tip to
flex. But the real secret is in the flex memory of the
wood
itself.
Or a Bamboo fin with a broad tip that
flexes.
Whether you're a
recreational surfer, a board collector,
or a seasoned pro we
have a fin for you.

Glass On
A few notes about glass on fins...
-
The integrity of any glass on is only as
good as the way it is laid up. The #1 reason for glass
on fin failure is the use of hot melt glue to tack the fin in
in place.
-
Use
laminating resin instead of hot melt glue along the entire length of
the base to tack on fins.
-
Fix any dings to your wood fins. Water intrusion will compromise the
strength and longevity of the fin.
